MOSCOW, September 27 (Itar-Tass) — Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said the gas giant is open for the search of compromises in gas talks with Ukraine, but at the present moment, it is committed to the effective contracts.
"Gazprom's controlling stake belongs to the state, and we're implementing all the inter-government accords; they must be brought to a logical conclusion and drawn properly. At present, Gazprom and Naftogaz have effective contracts for gas supply and gas transit until 2019; we're working strictly within these contacts, and there are no other documents or agreements as of today. Gazprom is open for dialogue and the search for compromises. We're awaiting Ukraine's delegation for talks this week," Miller said.
When asked about establishing a consortium to run Ukraine's gas transportation system, Miller said "this idea is not among the priorities".
