Singapore’s PM discusses at business forum cooperation with Russia

Earlier, Gref said in his speech that Tatarstan demonstrated successful example of using Singapore’s experience

SINGAPORE, September 26 (Itar-Tass) —— Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong had a meeting on Monday with participants in the Russia-Singapore business forum.

The dinner with prime minister, which was organised in the framework of the business forum, featured Sberbank’s CEO German Gref, Troika Dialog’s CEO Ruben Vardanyan and Tatarstan’s Head Rustam Minnikhanov. They discussed ways to expand cooperation between the two countries.

Earlier, Gref said in his speech that Tatarstan demonstrated successful example of using Singapore’s experience.

“Whenever I am asked what we could take from Singapore, I advise going to Tatarstan and looking there.”

On September 16, German Gref invited Russia’s regional leaders to take part in the forum in Singapore.

“Singapore is organising a special session for governors, in order to share positive experiences in management,” he said. “I believe, Singapore will be as welcoming all the regions as it welcomes Tatarstan.”

Traditionally, the forum features officials from Russia and Singapore, business elites of the two countries and from the CIS and Asian states.
