Medvedev to discuss education for priority industries

The president is to visit several enterprises in Ulyanovsk

MOSCOW, September 26 (Itar-Tass) — Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will have a meeting of the Presidential Commission for Modernization and Technological Development of Russian Economy on Monday. The 26th meeting of the commission will be held in Ulyanovsk. The commission meeting will be devoted to the education of specialists for the guidelines of modernization and technological development of Russian economy.

The presidential commission works on five guidelines: energy efficiency and resource saving, nuclear technologies, computer technologies and software, space technologies and telecommunications, medical equipment and pharmaceuticals.

The official website of the presidential commission announced that the rector of the National Research Nuclear University Mikhail Strikhanov will deliver a key report at the commission meeting. He will report on the situation over the education of specialists for innovative nuclear technologies. The rector of the National Research University (ITMO) Vladimir Vasilyev, the chairman of the NVision Group board of directors Dmitry Taraba, the president of the biopharmcluster Severny (Northern) based on the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology Oleg Korzinov will also deliver reports. Meanwhile, Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region Sergei Morozov will dwell in his speech on the education system of staff for the national nuclear innovative cluster in Dimitrovgrad.

The president is to visit several enterprises in the region before the commission meeting.
