Saturday’s talks between Presidents Dmitry Medvedev of Russia and Viktor Yanukovich of Ukraine also attended by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin yielded certain agreements

MOSCOW, September 25 (Itar-Tass) —— Saturday’s talks between Presidents Dmitry Medvedev of Russia and Viktor Yanukovich of Ukraine also attended by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin yielded certain agreements, the President’s press secretary Natalia Timakova told journalists on Sunday.

“Further on, [Gazprom CEO] Alexei Miller and [Ukrainian Minister of Energy and the Coal Industry] Yuri Boiko had a meeting to discuss the current situation,” she said.

After this meeting, the Gazprom CEO informed the Russian president that “considerable progress was reached in the issues under discussion, or gas transit tariffs to Ukraine, which makes it possible to hope for reaching corresponding agreements in the interests of both sides,” she said.
