CPRF pre-election congress opens in Moscow Region

CPRF leader Gennady Zyuganov noted: “We would like him (Churov) to keep to political neutrality until the end of elections”

MOSKOVSKY (Moscow Region), September 24 (Itar-Tass) —— A pre-election congress of the CPRF has opened in the Moscow Region. Its delegates are to approve a list of the party’s candidates for the participation in the December elections to the State Duma and an election programme.

Head of the Russian Central Electoral Commission Vladimir Churov is present at the congress. In this connection, CPRF leader Gennady Zyuganov noted: “We would like him (Churov) to keep to political neutrality until the end of elections.”

Before the opening of the congress, its participants met a motor rally of members of the Komsomol who brought to the congress their parting wishes, part of which may be included in the party’s election programme.

Gennady Zyuganov, hearing a report of the leader of the motor rally which started in the Far East, pointed to the necessity of “uniting against stealing of votes, corruption, gangsterism.” “If we win, we guarantee the restoration of justice and will carry out a new course of our country,” he added.
