Russia may be world’s leading supplier of food - Gryzlov

“Russia has a territory, where we may use agricultural lands to provide food, as experts say, for 20 percent of the world population,” Gryzlov said

MOSCOW, September 23 (Itar-Tass) — Russia may not only satisfy fully its own demand for food, but it may become the world’s leading supplier, Chairman of Russia’s State Duma Boris Gryzlov told the United Russia Party’s congress on Friday.

“Russia has a territory, where we may use agricultural lands to provide food, as experts say, for 20 percent of the world population,” Gryzlov said. “We may not only satisfy ourselves, but we may be major suppliers of food in the world.”
