Fire put out at General Staff Academy in Moscow

The fire has been put down so far, the fire spread on a total of ten square meters

MOSCOW, September 22 (Itar-Tass) —— The fire, which broke out at the Academy of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff in south-western Moscow, was put out by now, the press service of the Moscow emergencies department told Itar-Tass on Thursday.

“An alert call about the fire at 100, Vernadsky Avenue, where the Armed Forces General Staff is situated, came at 12.38 p.m. Moscow time on Thursday. The firemen and the academy authorities evacuated the staff,” the press service said. No people were injured in the fire.

The fire has been put down so far, the fire spread on a total of ten square meters. “The fire broke out on the fourth floor and the smoke is seen there now,” the press service said.

The investigation into the fire case continues.
