Reports on Tuesday said five militants had been destroyed.
"The group of investigators has not yet been allowed to the scene in Akhmatov Street. The information might be updated," an SK representative said.
The shootout began during a police operation/search measures at around 19:00, Moscow time, on Tuesday. Two police officers from reinforcements were killed in the shootout, and another was wounded.
The militants were identified. One of them is Kamil Mirzoyev, 41, a local resident.
