MOSCOW, September 20 (Itar-Tass) —— The Russian aviation authorities revoked licenses from 20 air carriers this year, Federal Air Transport Service head Alexander Neradko said at the State Duma on Tuesday.
There are 134 airlines in modern Russia, “and not a single license was issued to a new air carrier in 2011,” he said.
“Both small and large airlines have the right to operate as long as they comply with effective laws,” Neradko said.
