KIEV, September 20 (Itar-Tass) — Ukraine has expressed readiness for reaching a compromise while signing a new gas contract with Russia, Prime Minister Nikolai Azarov said on Tuesday.
“Of course, this will be a compromise decision. To a certain degree it will meet neither Russia’s nor Ukraine’s interests, because concessions should be made. Probably, everybody realizes that concessions should be mutual,” he said.
“We should get a normal contract, of course, on the terms acceptable for Russia,” Azarov said.
