MOSCOW, September 19 (Itar-Tass) — An unknown criminal shot dead Lieutenant Colonel of the Federal Security Service in Dagestan, Akhmed Magamedov.
The accident occurred on Imam Shamil Prospect at 23:10 Moscow time on Sunday, the investigative department of the Investigative Committee in Dagestan told Itar-Tass on Monday.
The FSB officer was killed after several shots were fired at him from a Stechkin pistol, when he parked and was getting out of his car.
He died immediately of wounds. The criminal stole Magamedov’s service weapon and escaped the scene of the murder, where sixteen 9-mm calibre bullets were found.
The main version of the killing is the FSB officer’s professional activity.
Police are combing the area to find the criminal.
