SOCHI, September 18 (Itar-Tass) —— The amount of private investments in hotel infrastructures of the Sochi resort has reached 60 billion roubles a year, the city’s Mayor Anatoly Pakhomov told a meeting devoted to the 2014 Winter Olympic Games’ preparations, which was organised in the framework of the Sochi-2011 international investment forum.
By 2014, the city will get additional 20,000 new modern hotel rooms.
“Sochi has introduced an obligatory classification of hotels, and now 76 hotels carry their ‘stars’ and 79 more continue the procedure,” he said.
