TYUMEN, September 17 (Itar-Tass) — Former police officers, failing to pass the early re-certification, can prove their rights at courts, and police heads should be ready for this, said Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliev.
“Some officers failed to pass re-certification. Sure, there are those discontented with its results. They may file suits in an established order to courts,” Nurgaliev said on Saturday at a meeting with the personnel of the ministry’s branch for the Tyumen Region.
The minister emphasised in this connection that all materials of the early re-certification, protocols, notes attached to them, should be put into archives. “Relying on these documents, police officers of appropriate police units can defend their position at judicial institutions,” the minister explained.
Turning to other aspects of re-certification, Nurgaliev noted that officers who failed to return to their jobs at police due to various reasons, for instance over poor health, but had worked well during their former service, should receive assistance in job placing.
“This is our duty and our obligation,” Nurgaliev said, noting that former police officers already received new jobs in many regions.
“We should dismiss without regret officers that discredited themselves during their work in police,” the minister emphasised. According to Nurgaliev, “they chose their way on their own, losing honour and dignity of a police officer, putting themselves outside the system of police service”.
