SOCHI, September 16 (Itar-Tass) —— The Economic Development Ministry has proposed to enlarge gas tariffs by 15%, railroad tariffs by 5-5.5% and electricity tariffs by 9-12% in 2013-2014, Minister Elvira Nabiullina said on Friday.
“It is planned to increase electricity tariffs for the population by 6% in January 2012 and by 10-12% in 2013-2014 in order to cut cross-subsidies on that market. Electricity transmission tariffs will grow by 11% from the middle of next year, and 9-10% in 2013-2014,” she said.
Gas tariffs will grow by 15% from July 2012, and by the same percentage in the middle of 2013-2014, Nabiullina said.
The ministry also proposed to enlarge railroad tariffs by 5.5% in 2013 and 5% in 2014, she said. The tariff will grow by 6% from January 1, 2012, she added.
