Right Cause loosks for new sponsors after Prokhorov gone

Dunayev did not rule out that Prokhorov might be paid back the money he contributed to the party

MOSCOW, September 15 (Itar-Tass) — The Right Cause realizes that it can no longer hope for such lavishing financing as the party enjoyed when Mikhail Prokhorov was its leader, Acting party Chairman Andrei Dunayev told journalists on Thursday. But," the party will be looking out for new sources of financing in the near future, and its election funds will most likely be replenished," Dunayev said.

Dunayev did not rule out that Prokhorov might be paid back the money he contributed to the party. If Mikhail Dmitriyevich (Prokhorov) believes he owns some of the money personally, we will return the money to him, Dunayev said, adding he had a vague idea of how to return the money to the owner physically. The money was donated, and it was donated with violations the funds will be either returned to the owner or contributed to the state income. Dunayev emphasized he did not know of there were any violations because he had no access to the party's accounts.

Delegates to a congress of the Right Cause party made a decision on Thursday not to elect a new party chairman yet. Chief of the executive committee of the Right Cause party Andrei Dunayev will be Acting Head of the party until a new party chairman is elected.

Earlier on Thursday a Congress of the Right Cause had deposed Prokhorov from the post of the party chairman.

The delegates to the congress also adopted a new party Charter. The Federal political Council of the Right Cause party will be elected after the results of the vote held by secret ballots are counted.

Initially, the Council was planned to number 13 members, but afterwards the deputies voted to increase membership in the Council to 16.
