MOSCOW, September 15 (Itar-Tass) —— The number of the unemployed in Russia has dropped by 2.1 percent in the past two weeks, a source in the Russian ministry of health and social development told Itar-Tass on Thursday.
Thus, the number of the officially registered jobless has decreased by 27,835 people.
According to official statistics, a total of 1.3 million jobless are officially registered across Russia. A decrease in the number of the unemployed was reported in 80 Russian regions. The most impressive drop was registered in the republics of Tyva, Karelia and Karachay-Cherkessia. Meanwhile, the number of the unemployed went up in the Yamal-Nenets and Chukotka autonomous areas.
