MOSCOW, September 14 (Itar-Tass) —— The Skolkovo technopark as the key facility of the constructing innovative centre will be fully created in 2014, Director General of the technopark Sergei Kurilov said on Wednesday, during a presentation of the project at Moscow’s Centre of international trade.
“The technopark is the key facility of the city of Skolkovo and it will be commissioned in 2014, if builders do their work timely,” he said.
In Kurilov’s words, his organisation has already started to render services to residents of the Skolkovo innovative centre, in particular in the registration of copyright, as well as recruiting, financial accounting and banking services.
“We have already started to implement our activities,” he said, adding, “The technopark develops the city’s service environment, creates the system of services of the efficient development of residents’ business.”
According to Kurilov, the technopark territory will occupy 145,000 square metres of the total Skolkovo area. From 300 to 350 companies are expected to work at the technopark. An average number of a company’s staff will be from 25 to 35.
Proceeding from the plans of the project’s authors, the Skolkovo population will be at about 6,349 people, while the project will guarantee jobs for more than 8,000 specialists.
The operations of technopark within the Skolkovo Project are based on one main purpose – to provide innovative companies, participating in the Skolkovo project, with all the necessary support so that they could successfully develop their technological assets and corporate structure, and become leading players in global markets.
The technopark is implementing this task by involving the infrastructure, resources and other features of the Skolkovo project and its partners, then turning these into a set of effective services, which fully meet the needs of companies, participating in the project.
