Oboronservis employees to be drafted for military service in time of war

Oboronservis will recommend the Russian Defense Ministry to amend laws for drafting employees of outsourcing organizations for military training in a time of peace

MOSCOW, September 13 (Itar-Tass) — Oboronservis employees will be drafted for military service in a time of war, Oboronservis General Director Sergei Khursevich said on Tuesday.

“Either employees of outsourcing companies or civilian volunteers will operate at military bases, while servicemen and drafted [Oboronservis] employees will work in the combat zone,” he said.

Oboronservis will recommend the Russian Defense Ministry to amend laws for drafting employees of outsourcing organizations for military training in a time of peace, as well, he said.

Oboronservis is a joint stock company formed to assist the provision of national security and defense capacity, to repair, modernize and dispose of armaments and military hardware, to hold research and development works, to draw and manage intellectual, industrial and financial resources in the fulfillment of state defense orders and projects of the Russian Armed Forces and other clients, including those foreign, to build and run sites of the Russian Armed Forces and other clients, including those foreign, to supply the Russian Armed Forces with agricultural products and food, to operate, service, repair and modernize energy facilities of the Russian Armed Forces, to provide trade and public catering to the Russian Armed Forces, to provide printing and other mass media services, as well as to give hotel services to the Russian Armed Forces and other clients, including those foreign.
