MOSCOW, September 13 (Itar-Tass) —— Carrying out the pre-election congress of United Russia will cost about 50 million rubles, the head of the Central Executive Committee of the party, Andrei Vorobyov, told the media on Tuesday.
He confirmed that this was going to be the largest congress in the history of the party. This important event, which takes place every four years, of course, will require considerable funds.
"I think it will not cause a crushing blow to our party budget, although the Congress will be costly,” Vorobyov said, answering a question from Itar-Tass. I think the costs will be at a level of 40-50 million rubles."
Vorobyov assured that the exact figure would be presented in a report that the party would hand over to the Central Election Commission.
"We are the only ones who speak aloud about the costs," he concluded.
The congress will be held on September 23-24, and, as it was previously reported, it will gather up to ten thousand delegates. It is not excluded that the forum will be conducted at several sites, including the traditional venue of congress United Russia congresses – the Gostiny Dvor exhibition center.
