The new Libyan authorities are keeping them locked on the compound of the company’s dormitory but no official charges against or demands to them have been made.
The women who sent the appeal to Karpacheva complain over the absence of action on the part of Ukraine’s governmental agencies and ask her to step into the efforts to resolve the situation dangerous for their husbands.
Karpacheva, on her part, has issued a request to the Foreign Ministry to provide the necessary legal assistance to the captured Ukrainians and to ensure a duly observance of their rights and freedom by the Libyans.
Also, she has asked the Libyan ambassador to Ukraine, Faisal al-Shari for an urgent meeting to discuss the situation.
