CAIRO, September 11 (Itar-Tass) —— Egypt’s authorities have terminated the decision to introduce new entrance visa requirements to foreigners, the Ministry of Tourism reported on Sunday.
The decision was made over a meeting of Minister Fakhry Abdel Nour and the government. The earlier rules to obtain visas at the border still remain in force.
Earlier, Egypt’s government approved only tourist groups to obtain visas at the border. All other foreigners, including individual tourists, had to apply for a visa to the Arab Republic of Egypt’s embassies in their home countries.
