NIZHNY TAGIL, September 9 (Itar-Tass) —— Some 64 billion rubles will be assigned within several years for the development of Uralvagonzavod, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said at a talented youth festival in Nizhny Tagil on Friday. The festival was dedicated to the plant’s 75th anniversary.
“Everyone must be proud of Uralvagonzavod,” Putin said, adding that the plant made a third of Soviet tanks in the WW2 years.
“The plant had hard times not long ago, but it continued to develop thanks to its traditions as solid as the tank armor. We discussed the Uralvagonzavod development program today and said we intended to invest over 64 billion rubles within the next few years,” Putin said.
