Putin offers to elect Neverov as UR General Council presidium sec

Chairman of the United Russia Supreme Council and State Duma Speaker Boris Gryzlov earlier confirmed that Neverov will be approved at the post at a next meeting

MOSCOW, September 9 (Itar-Tass) —— Chairman of the United Russia Party and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin nominated Sergei Neverov as a candidate for secretary of the United Russia General Council Presidium, the United Russia press service told Itar-Tass on Friday. Neverov’s candidacy is put up for voting at the United Russia General Council Presidium.

Neverov will be actually approved at this post. The State Duma deputy works at the post for about a year. In October 2010 he replaced Vyacheslav Volodin at this post. Volodin was appointed as deputy prime minister and the chief of the governmental staff. Yet, Neverov’s post was called all this time as “an acting secretary of the United Russia General Council Presidium.” He will be relieved from this ‘prefix’ soon. “According to the preliminary reports, the United Russia General Council Presidium is due to have a next meeting on September 15.”

Chairman of the United Russia Supreme Council and State Duma Speaker Boris Gryzlov earlier confirmed that Neverov will be approved at the post at a next meeting. “During his term as an acting secretary of the United Russia General Council Presidium, Sergei Ivanovich [Neverov] showed himself as an efficient manager. He stood the test of the primaries in the regions. The election campaign for the elections in the State Duma is coming and we pin hopes on the experience and professionalism of Sergei Neverov,” Gryzlov underlined.
