MOSCOW, September 9 (Itar-Tass) —— Right Cause leader Mikhail Prokhorov said on Friday that he should not be compared with Mikhail Khodorkovsky.
The case of Khodorkovsky and his case are not comparable, he said.
"I have publicly quitted the business and headed the political party. I did it within the Russian law. And I do nothing prohibited," the party leader noted.
If Khodorkovsky had acted this way, the results would have been other, Prokhorov believes. One who heads a big company must not be engaged in politics, he said in an interview to Gazeta.Ru.
Right Cause leader Mikhail Prokhorov will head the party list for the elections to the Krasnoyarsk Territory's legislature. The vote will be held along with the elections to the Duma on December 4.
The candidacy was unanimously endorsed at the special conference of the party's regional branch on Friday.
Prokhorov is officially registered in the village of Yeruda in the Northern Yenisei district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The Right Cause congress will take place in Moscow from September 14-15 to approve the federal list of candidates and the programme the party will present for the Duma elections. Prokhorov is expected to head the list.
Along with the elections to the State Duma, 27 Russian regions will elect regional legislatures.
