MOSCOW, September 8 (Itar-Tass) —— The first conference of Russian compatriots residing in France will be held on September 17, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich told journalists on Thursday.
The conference is geared towards consolidating the Russian community in France, preserving the historical and cultural heritage of the “Russian France,” and promoting ties with the historical homeland.
The conference will be attended by officials from the Russian Foreign Ministry, the government of Moscow and St. Petersburg, and representatives from the Public Chamber.
