Russian first deputy prime minister might top UR party list in Primorye Ter

On Thursday, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and his first deputy Igor Shuvalov received local residents at a public reception office of United Russia in Vladivostok

VLADIVOSTOK, September 8 (Itar-Tass) —— The press secretary to the Russian prime minister does not rule out that First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov will top the election list of the ruling United Russia (UR) party in Russia’s Far Eastern Primorye Territory.

“The final decision on this matter shall be taken at a United Russia party congress,” Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday. “It would be quite logical bearing in mind Shuvalov’s good command in subjects related to the activity of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum (APEC) and his keen interest to socio-economic processes in the Primorye Territory.”
