Medvedev lays flowers at plane crash site

TUNOSHNA, Yaroslavl Region, September 8 (Itar-Tass) — Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on Thursday visited the Yak-42 plane crash site at Tunoshna near Yaroslavl, honouring the memory of the crash victims.

The president laid red roses on the bank of the Tunoshonka River opposite the site where the plane wreckage lies in the water. He crossed himself and stood silent for a minute with his head bowed.

The president was accompanied by the Yaroslavl Region's Governor Sergei Vakhrukov.

After paying the tribute to the memory of the crash victims, Medvedev went to a meeting to discuss issues related to the investigation and aid for the victims' families.

Investigators and rescuers are continuing working at the crash site. According to the reports as of Thursday morning, rescuers found the bodies of all the 43 people who were aboard the plane.
