NAZRAN, September 8 (Itar-Tass) —— Two militants were destroyed in the Ingush settlement of Ordzhonikidzevskaya during a special operation.
As ITAR-TASS learnt at the law enforcement bodies of the republic, “on Thursday morning, a militant was blocked in private house No 22 in Vostochnaya Street. He was offered to surrender. “However, he didn’t obey. He came out into the yard and threatened to blow up himself. At the moment of his detention, the militant set off a homemade explosive device and killed himself,” the source said.
Approximately at the same time, another militant was blocked in house No 2 in Tolstoy Street. He offered fierce resistance to law enforcers and was destroyed in return fire. “His identity was established. A Kalashnikov submachine-gun was found in the house,” the source added.
The counter-terrorist operation regime was introduced in the settlement at 05.30 Moscow time.
Simultaneously, a special operation to neutralize militants blocked in private house No 32 in Taldiyev Street is underway in the settlement of Ekazhevo of the Nazran region. The gunman who offered an armed resistance to law enforcers was destroyed.
At the same time, one more militant was detained in the same settlement. A lot of arms and ammunition were found there.
According to the available information, all the killed and detained were members of a gang which staged explosions and made attempts on the life of law enforcers of late.
