MOSCOW, September 7 (Itar-Tass) —— Thirty six died and only one was found alive after a crash of the Yak-42 plane near Yaroslavl, the Emergency Situations Ministry told Itar-Tass.

Earlier, Rosaviatsiya said 34 died and three survived.

The plane was carrying Yaroslavl’s Locomotive ice hockey team to Minsk.

The liner fell two kilometers away from Tunoshna airport during the climb. It rammed into the ground and fell apart. A fragment of the fuselage got into the Volga River. The wreck caught fire.

“The plane might have hit the tops of trees,” sources in the law enforcement said.

According to the Emergency Situations Ministry, there were 37 people on board, including four crew members. There was only one survivor.
