CHEREPOVETS /Vologda Region/, September 6 (Itar-Tass) —— The new mechanism of cooperation between the United Russia Party and the All-Russian Popular Front, initiated by the party’s leader Vladimir Putin, will make the State Duma truly popular, Acting Secretary of the party’s General Council Sergei Neverov said on Monday.
The joint work on key socially important bills “will make it possible to implement into the political practice the overwhelming popular discussion, social probation of all major bills,” he told reporters commenting on Putin’s suggestions on the new format of cooperation between the United Russia Party and the All-Russian Popular Front. “The most vital problems will be discussed most openly, which means that decisions will be most correct.”
“The procedure of popular discussions of bills by the Front has proved to be an effective mechanism of public control,” he continued, referring to the on-going discussions of the bills on health protection, on education, on amateur and sports fishing, as well as of regional budgets.
The United Russia Party and the All-Russian Popular Front will organise following instructions from Putin, discussions of support for medical staff in villages, he continued.
“It is also important for the party to see to it that medicines for beneficiary categories are bought in time,” he said.
The United Russia Party’s another priority task for the coming year is “to raise wages for teachers to the average level of wages in the economy,” Neverov said. “Teachers, medical staff are the categories, on who quality of life depends directly, and this is why it is very important for us to support those who work in healthcare, in education, and to raise prestige of those professions.”
