CHEREPOVETS, September 5 (Itar-Tass) ——The Russian government will provide nine billion roubles for the development of preschool education.
One billion roubles will be disbursed from the federal budget and eight billion roubles in the form of budget loans to regions.
“This will make it possible to reduce waiting lists in kindergarten s considerably,” Putin said at an inter-regional conference of the ruling United Russia party in Cherepovets on Monday, September 5.
He stressed that it would be an unacceptable situation where families have to wait 5-10 years for a place a kindergarten. “During this time a kid will grow up and start working,” the prime minister said, jokingly.
Putin also said it would be necessary to continue relocating municipal institutions that occupy the buildings of kindergartens.
