CHEREPOVETS, Vologda region, September 5 (Itar-Tass) —— Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on Monday inflation in Russia may stay within eight percent by the yearend.
“As far as I know, inflation in Russia in the first six months of 2011 was five percent, or at the lowest level in the entire modern history of Russia,” the prime minister told a meeting of the ruling United Russia party’s regional offices in the North-Western federal district.
According to Putin, by the end of the year consumer prices growth rates will reach eight percent. “It is another low figure,” he added.
