The geography of direct flights has somewhat expanded in the past few months, and the procedure for trips by train from Kiev to Moscow have simplified considerably

MOSCOW, September 5 (Itar-Tass) — Ukraine intends to open its consulate general in Nizhny Novgorod and Russia will open its consulate general in Donetsk, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Konstantin Grishchenko said after talks with his Russian colleague Sergei Lavrov on Monday.

"We've discussed the optimization of consular presence in the territory of the two countries. Ukraine obtained Russia’s consent to open its consulate general in Nizhny Novgorod, and accordingly, Kiev agreed to the opening of the Russian consulate general in Donetsk. It's extremely important for citizens of the two countries," Grishchenko said.

"The geography of direct flights has somewhat expanded in the past few months, and the procedure for trips by train from Kiev to Moscow have simplified considerably," he underlined, "we intend to contribute to the expansion of contacts between the citizens of Ukraine and Russia, as well as between Ukrainian and Russian regions."
