CAIRO, September 4 (Itar-Tass) ——The Transitional National Council of Libya (TNC) has confirmed the death of Khamis, one of Muammar Gaddafi’s sons. An official representative of the insurgents stated it on Sunday.
According to his information, Khamis Gaddafi “died in action near Tripoli and was buried near the city of Bani Walid. He said as well that TCN had evidence proving the death of Muhammad, the son of Abdullah al-Senussi, who was head of the Libyan intelligence service.
Khamis Gaddafi was the commander of an elite brigade of the Libyan special task force. He played an important role in staging combat operations against the insurgents. Previously the opposition twice announced his death, but the reports were not confirmed.
