DUSHANBE, September 3 (Itar-Tass) —— Ukraine doesn’t consider the issue of unifying Naftogaz and Gazprom for the sake of a gas discount, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich said in Dushanbe on Saturday, where a jubilee CIS summit is being held.
“This issue is not considered,” Yanukovich said in answer to the question of journalists if the issue of unification of Naftogaz and Gazprom is considered for the sake of a discount for gas supplied by Russia.
Touching upon the legal aspects of the issue of restructuring Naftogaz and further actions with regard to the already concluded agreements, Yanukovich said: “This is our internal issue. This is an agreement of two economic subjects.”
