DUSHANBE, September 3 (Itar-Tass) —— President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan offers to speak in detail about the historical role of the Commonwealth at its jubilee summit in Moscow.
“We have agreed that a jubilee summit will be held in an informal atmosphere in Moscow in December. I think that at this summit we’ll speak at greater length about the results of the CIS activity, about the historical role which it played and continue to play in the life of our peoples,” he said speaking at an enlarged meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State here on Saturday.
Nazarbayev pointed to the fact that they managed to escape serious effects of the world crisis in the CIS space and stabilize the economies of the member-states by common efforts.
He expressed confidence that a “non-stop exchange of opinions” and a “search for joint solutions” are needed. This is the “most effective way for achieving common aims which has no alternatives,” Nuzarbayev said in conclusion.
