PARIS, September 2 (Itar-Tass) —— Special envoy of the Russian president for Africa Mikhail Margelov has positively assessed the results of the international conference in support of Libya which ended here on Thursday. He told Russian journalists about it here on Friday.
“The work of the conference may be assessed positively,” he said. “This conference finalizes the work of the Contact Group on Libya.” “Now it is a Group of Libya’ s Friends, and Russia is among them,” he stressed.
According to Margelov, “Russia has always supported friendly relations with Libya and its people and is ready to comprehensively support it now too.”
