Russia to put Bulava complex on combat duty in 2012

There are all grounds to partially put not only missiles, but also complexes on combat duty in 2012

STAVROPOL, September 1 (Itar-Tass) — Russia will put the Bulava ballistic missile complexes on combat duty in 2012, Defence Minister Anatoly Serdyukov told Itar-Tass on Thursday.

“There are all grounds to partially put not only missiles, but also complexes on combat duty in 2012,” said the defence minister, who is accompanying President Dmitry Medvedev on his visit to the Stavropol region, southern Russia.

He described the launch of a Bulava intercontinental ballistic missile from the Yuri Dolgoruky nuclear powered submarine in the White Sea on Saturday as successful.
