The reason for fur seals’ death is unknown

VLADIVOSTOK, August 30 (Itar-Tass) — Twelve fur seals died, when they were carried from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk to Vladivostok.

The plane that carried 20 fur seals for the dolphinarium in Srednyaya Bay near Nakhodka landed at the airport of Vladivostok late on Monday. Twelve animals were found dead, according to Aeroguz company.

The reason for fur seals’ death is unknown.

The transport prosecutor’s office is investigating the case.

The dolphinarium near Nakhodka is owned by the Pacific Research Fisheries Centre that studies marine mammal behaviour.
