MOSCOW, August 29 (Itar-Tass) — The explosive device that went off near a police building in northern Moscow late on Sunday was equivalent to 100 gram TNT, sources from the press service of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate told Itar-Tass on Monday.
The blast occurred at a parking site near the Interior Ministry’s department in Eastern Dergunino at 23:55 Moscow time. No victims were reported. The blast smashed windows of two offices as well as damaged two cars belonging to police officers.
Criminal proceedings have been launched under part two of Article 213 of the Russian Criminal Code (Hooliganism).
Several days ago, overnight to August 26, a blast went off near the building of the district investigation department in Marshall Konev Street, in the northwest of the city. An unidentified person threw an explosive device against the wall and disappeared. Nobody was injured, but 12 windows were smashed. The incident was also qualified as hooliganism.
In another incident on July 11, an unidentified person threw an explosive device into the cabinet of a deputy head of the investigation department of Moscow’s north-western administrative district. The office was damaged. Criminal proceedings were launched under the “Hooliganism” and “Illegal Circulation of Explosive Devices” articles.
