MOSCOW, August 27 (Itar-Tass) —— Russian Defence Minister Anatoly Serdyukov reported to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev about a successful test launch of the Bulava intercontinental ballistic missile from the Yuri Dolgoruky nuclear-powered submarine missile carrier, the Russian presidential press service reported on Saturday.
The ICBM Bulava was test launched successfully on Saturday morning in the White Sea from the underwater position as part of state test launches of the missile system at the maximum Bulava flight range, the defence minister reported.
The Bulava warheads reached successfully the target area at the scheduled time in the Pacific with the sea navigation safety rules observed.
