MOSCOW, August 26 (Itar-Tass) — Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and the new Syrian Ambassador to Russia, Riyad Haddad, discussed on Friday the situation in Syria.
“Mikhail Bogdanov received the newly appointed Syrian ambassador to Russia, who handed over copies of his credentials,” Russian Foreign Ministry sources reported.
“During the conversation, they touched upon Russian-Syrian bilateral relations, the situation in Syria and around it, as well as pressing issues of the regional and international agenda,” the sources said.
